Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to sign up for weekly sessions?
No. You can book single sessions as needed. If you’d like a consistent weekly slot, I can reserve that time for you.

Do you tutor online or in person?
Both. I prefer in-person sessions, and I can meet at your home, a library, or a public space like a coffee shop. Online sessions are also available if distance makes that the best option.

Which subjects do you cover?
Math, Physics, and introductory Computer Science. In CS I focus on Python, data science, algorithms, and the intersection of math and computing.

What ages or levels do you work with?
I work with middle school, high school, and college students. I can also help adult learners who are refreshing their skills.

Do you create assignments for students?
No. I support students in the classes they are already enrolled in. If a student wants to learn outside of school, I recommend free courseware such as Khan Academy or MIT OpenCourseWare, and I can guide them through that material.

Do you guarantee grade improvement?
No tutor can guarantee grades, but I do guarantee that students will receive clear explanations, patient support, and a plan for building confidence and skills.

What if I need to cancel a session?
Please let me know as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule.

What if I feel “bad at math” or embarrassed about asking questions?
You are not alone. Many students feel that way, and my job is to help you learn without judgment. Mistakes are part of learning, and every question is valid.

Will you think I’m dumb if I don’t understand something right away?
Absolutely not. Struggling means you’re learning. I’ll explain concepts as many times, and in as many ways, as it takes until they click.
